- measurement of resistance, voltage, signal using multimeter and oscilloscope
- careful removal of the old sensor without damaging tubes or boiler
- replacement of temperature sensor (NTC) in boiler or group head

- replacement of flow sensor / leak detector

When Sensor Replacement Is Needed
Signs indicating the need to replace one or more sensors:
- repeated errors “overheat”, “low temperature”, “high temperature”, “E03”, “E04”, “sensor failure”
- boiler does not heat or overheats (water boils, excessive steam)
- machine displays “fill tank” despite being full
- opposite — constantly shows “empty tank” after refilling
- errors “brew unit position”, “E07”, “E24”, unit fails to return home
- machine stops mid-cycle with “leak detected”, “flow sensor”, “aqua stop” error
- water flows continuously, pump never stops after brewing
- “leak sensor” or “aqua stop” errors even with dry drip tray
- issue persists after cleaning contacts and connectors
- multimeter shows open circuit, short, or implausible values on the sensor
Sensor failures are most commonly caused by scale buildup, corrosion, mechanical wear, moisture on contacts, power surges, or aging of plastic/magnet components.
